Power-house of energy and go-go-go-ness, if you’re lucky enough to actually see him, it’ll be out the corner of your eye as he flies past you!  Hang on to your hats folks!

Jonny

A chatty, bilingual Englishman, Jonny has a wicked sense of humour which he'll happily share with you as he pours you a perfect cappuccino.  He's the cafe's only male blond bombshell, which makes him a very special barista indeed!  Jonny is also a whizz in the kitchen, and his freshly-baked, power-packed bagels are as stylishly put together as he is.

Brodie

No great coffee-shop is complete without a New Zealander, and to fulfill this particular 'great coffee criteria', meet Brodie.  Even when the coffee queue is tumbling onto the street, Brodie's cool as a cucumber demeanor prevails.  Remember, in 'Kiwi-speak', it's a 'flit-white' you'll be served!

Stina

Stina is our wickedly wonderful Swedish kitchen queen who carefully selects and prepares fresh food daily.  She has a passion for everything wholesome, and she ensures that all our food is made with enough love to nourish your body, mind and soul. If you pass through the cafe, you'll see Stina gracefully working the kitchen, making something delicious & wonderful, specially for you.

India

Another Swede makes a 'trio of Swedes' serving in the Gaudy, and if you haven't yet experienced her cheerful, heart-warming service, along with her second-to-none coffees, smoothies and icecreamalicious treats, then it's time you popped in and introduced yourself to India!

Charlie

The resident pooch... he's a middle-aged mutt from the Berlin animal shelter, and if he's hanging around in the cafe, you're obliged to give him a tummy rub.  Just watch out for the tongue bath!

Frans

Dropping down from Sweden to charm us all with his uber-coolness, Frans' coffees are made with tender loving care.  If you want to get a taste of that quirky Scandinavian hospitality - it'll be a double serving along side your preferred choice of coffee!

Dee-Dee

Our resident pedagogue hailing from the remote shores of Perth, Australia. She’s responsible for the ever-entertaining language exchange every Wednesday night at 7. She’s no stranger to the café in her off-hours and has no trouble getting a conversation going, even when she’s not working.

Johanna

One of our terrific morning baristas, Johanna has emigrated all the way from Cologne to Berlin, and from the outskirts of Berlin to Gaudystrasse, to add her sweet, smiling face to the  lovely Gaudy crew.  Johanna is a steady, calm coffee-maker and just watching her pour one of her delicious latte-macchiato is a relaxing, soothing experience! Ahhhhhh.
